I have a number of ideas for next year - notwithstanding the VOC BKVs (which I am hoping will be strongly supported by 700 owners). But it is also a question of assessing the appetite of owners and members (owners being VOC members and"members"being forum members) that would participate in"events", notwithstanding all the enviromental issues - weather, distance etc.

For example, if I were to organise an event around an aviation theme (with interesting warbirds etc), and camping available at modest cost) would 700 owners be interested?

I personally will be attending all three BKVs - and will hope to muster a good quantity of 700s at these events.

At this time I am trying to assess how many 700 owners there are - both in the VOC and on the forum - and where are they (geographically), and how far would they be willing to travel?

The latter is almost impossible to assess as members do not reveal this. So until I get a heads up on these issues and an indication of a level of"enthususiam"for events, I'll keep my powder dry.

There will however be an announcement soon.
