Lock down car after resetting adaptions so that ecm can learn parameters failure to do so will just revert back to original parameters

You can gain access to bank 1 sensor from top of engine or if you have access to ramp/lift get it from underside

Lock down? Using what? What is an adaptation? How is it reset?

I'm well experienced with all aspects of Honda diesel engines (common rail Bosch), but these terms are utterly meaningless to me! Are they specific to Volvo diagnostic equipment?

That's great, but where exactly is it/what does it look like?

Is anyone able to offer any practical advice for me on finding the sensor that needs cleaning, how to clean it and whether a Volvo software update is necessary?

Thanks
Jon
