For Sale: 2004 Volvo S40 T5 SE
Due to an impending arrival of a company car it's time to sell my beloved T5.
Specs are as follows: Metallic Silver, Full Off-Black leather interior, ABS, DSTC, Auto-dimming rear view mirror, Driver Info Centre, Two Keys, Winter Pack (Heated seats, heated windscreen washer nozzles & headlamp washers), ISOFIX rear harness points, Cruise Control, Climate Control, High Performance Audio/6CD, Electric Sunroof, R-Design 17” Alloys, Michelin CrossClimate Tyres, Jetex Stainless Steel Exhaust. Good condition for age and mileage, has been lovingly looked after as my pride and joy for the last 12+ years. ~230bhp and provides a more subtle alternative to the Focus ST which was based on it and with a lower insurance group. Volvo factory bodykit was added in 2008 and front brakes upgraded from 300mm to 320mm with HEL braided brake lines. All replaced in last 3yrs: All springs, front bushes (Powerflex), Track Rod Ends, Clutch, Dual Mass Flywheel, Timing Belt, Rear top mounts, F&R pads and discs and backing plates, all wheel bearings/hubs. No exchange. 2 owners (including me), Next MOT due 04/2018, Full Service History, All Receipts Provided, £2,200 The car comes with: Electric Windows Front & Rear, Dual Zone Climate Control/Air Conditioning, 6 CD Player, Leather Trim, Heated Seats, Height adjustable Driver's Seat with Lumbar, 60/40 Folding Rear Seats, 17" Alloy Wheels, Power Assisted Steering, Steering Wheel Rake/Reach Adjustment, Cruise Control, Traction/Dynamic Stability Control, Central Locking, Alarm, Immobiliser, Driver's Airbags, Side Airbags, Curtain Airbags, Metallic paint, Spare wheel (Space-saver) Pictures: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 Located in Fife, Scotland

Bummer... a few days ago I would have snapped your hands off to get my grubby mits on that motor!
Anyone looking for a decent Volvo you will not be disappointed with this! EDIT: Iain after spending some time looking for a new motor I think you are pricing yourself a little low and could easily reach closer to the 3k mark with that amount of work done. Don't sell yourself short! you can always come down!

I understand though fully, I was a bit taken aback at the price but now think it makes sense. It would be interesting to figure out what the cost of ownership is long term like that. Best of luck with the sale, someone will get a very good car it's a credit to you

I had forgotten what a rank process selling a car privately could be. The amount of wasters that have contacted over the internet is unbelievable and they clearly have no intention of buying the car or anything better to do than troll normal people :-(
Still for sale if anyone's looking for a well looked after T5.

Sadly internet car 'buyers' seem to be 95% knob heads and 5% actual nice people (the sort you enjoy a chat with).
It seems in particular that ebay attracts the difficult sort who'd throw in ridiculous low offers or try and swap you with stuff on the basis they're doing you a huge favour.... It's no wonder these car buying companies have risen in popularity but for best price you need to attract a good private buyer. I think there's a lot of misunderstanding surrounding the T5's in that they must have been thrashed, require their own petrol tanker, shred front tyres and be expensive to own. The opposite of course is true. I know if I needed to replace mine I'd be stood outside Iain's place with the cash like a shot
