Sorry, that looks more like the horn not the alarm siren.
Siren is located under left front whee-larch liner and is square in shape. https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/attac...1&d=1554449997 |

The car horns are in front of the radiator. You must have an early one! The pictures are of the alarm siren on the bulk head.
ok, just checked on you tube. There is a alarm horn, which is what I have. Then if you search alarm siren, its the one you want, so I am a bit confused!!

Hi Dean,
Yes please! I can point out how to remove it if it helps. Could you advise on price+postage to Glasgow, G33 postcode? Thanks, Joe

Hi Joseph
Because of the time involved to remove and packing, I would want £25 delivered. Are you ok with that Thanks. Dean.

Yes please. I can do bank transfer or Paypal, and will PM you address details. For removing, you’ll need a Torx T25 (I think) to remove two clamps which hold the harness onto the inside of the tailgate. The wiring then goes inside the tailgate and branches out, the wires just unclip for the brake light/wiper motor/number plate lights etc. The big multi plug which plugs in to the main car wiring inside the car body is too big to thread through the tailgate hinge, so you will be better threading all the wiring back through the hinge (it will come out this way). If the little plastic clips at the hinges aren’t broken, could you throw these in as well? I’ve broken two of mine. Thanks, Joe

After cleaning my idle control Valve, it seems like the car didn't like it.
The car starts fine and idles at about 900 rpm, but this rises as the car warms up, peaking at about 1200 rpm. So, have you got an idle control valve for sale please Dean? My car is a 2.5 turbo, but I'm hoping the 2.5 N/A is the same. |
