XC90 Replacement Shocks
I have a 2016 XC90 (non air suspension) with circa 70k miles and one of the shocks has started to leak, I obviously have the option to go down the OEM route but wondered if anyone has replaced or upgraded these?
I have seen that Blistein do the B6 shocks that are direct replacement to the OEM ones and I'm kinda tempted with these and wondered if anyone else has done, or considered going down this route. |

I’d be curious about this too. My wife finds the ride of my XC90 T8 over bumps to be uncomfortable (worse than my old BMW 5 series estate). Hardly needs saying but Irish roads make the British ones look fantastic

I'll let you know how I get on with them when I get them done. Reviews on them seem to be good too. I'm looking at a roof top tent and with bikes on the back I'm just conscious of the extra weight so will replace all shocks despite just the one leaking.
You'll probably have done this already, but I drop the tyre pressures to the lower recommended setting as Volvo have a habit of keeping them at the higher Eco pressure setting, and on those type of roads it does make a huge difference. I also noticed a difference when I switched from the OEM summer tyres to a softer All Season tyre. |
