Diesel filter housing replacement
Hello, I had this issue with my D5 volvo s60 07' that it was leaking diesel from the filter housing. Found out that the threads were broken.
I have to replace the whole filter housing. Is there someone who can tell me if I need to lower the tank to get access to the filter housing screws? I have not been able to look it up quite yet, just want to prepare for this repair. I have bought the replacement unit, so I have the whole filter housing that I have to replace and it seems like I need to open 2 screws to remove the housing. Thank you |

Hi,
This happened to me, filter bowl cracked and dropped down. Car came to an abrupt halt. Must have put a tiny crack into it when I'd last changed the filter which was 2 years previous. Anyway, I didn't personally change it but my independent said he had to drop the tank to gain access to the bolts holding the housing on. Hope this helps. Swede Steed |
