Default distributor cap

i have access to a automotive parts trade place and was wanting to buy a distributor cap and rotor arm for my 850 t5 m reg, when i looked in the book it only listed the 2.0l and 2.5l engines, does anybody know if all the 850's use the same distributor cap and rotor arm ? thanks neil.

Hi ya,

Yes they all use the same one. I would not recommend an after market one though. I had loads of trouble and had to replace mine the day before I went abroad a few years back. The OEM is Bosch and is made of solid copper, where the after markets Caps use mild steel instead and they don't fit inside the cover correctly.

Buy Bosch or Volvo cap/rotors both together are far less trouble. They should last you a minimum of 100k miles, but i now change mine between 50k to 75k after reading some info from a Master Volvo technician.
