The tester said the beams on both headlights are out, this costs nothing to put right.
This previous owner had the car from new, was really middle & spent a fortune on it. I myself have spent well over a grand on it in the two & a half years ive had it. Ive also done all the service items inbetween myself, filters, leads, fluids etc. I just haven't the time to sort it, family & work take up all my time.
Its sitting there with 10 months tax & mot till 28th of june if anyone wants it.
All the more reason not to scrap it then. The breaker might offer you 500 quid for it and the car will be sent to an early grave, or you could spend very little on the jobs that need doing and sell it for double what you're being offered. This way the car will go on to fight another day and you will be slightly richer, making everyone a winner.

I'd imagine as well that the survival rate of good P1 V70 T5's can't be too good in the UK right now after the recent scrappage scheme and other contributing factors, so it would be a terrible shame to send this one off to the breakers yard too for what are really minor jobs.

I am gutted to be getting rid of this car. I've thoroughly
enjoyed this amazing car & was disappointed it failed its
mot. I'm going back to work full time with my gardening
business so have a work vehicle ready & waiting.
I have not got time or space to fix this car so its got to
go. If anyone is interested mail me & i'll give you my
mobile No. Breaker offered me £500.00 for it but its
to far for me to take it to his yard.

p.s I love this site amount of info is incredible !
have you had problems with the power steering ? the MOT tester could be a bit keen as it has to drip oil on the floor not show signs of heavy misting, the rest of the repairs will only cost £200 or there about.

Had no probs with p/steering. I could do all the other stuff myself & clean up the rack
& take it somewere else for a new attempt at mot. Thing is i would rather sell the car with a clear conscience than bodge it up & flog to some poor sap who ends up spending a load of cash he thought he wouldn't have to spend. A bit like the c**t who sold me a lancia delta integrale some years ago.
I know they are not renowned for reliability, but you know what i mean !
