Default Rear parking sensors low volume of beeping

Hi everyone,

I has an issue with the parking sensors when the car (XC90 D5 2010) is on reverse. The level of the beeping is too low. The dealer said that there is a problem with the audio module and I have to buy a new one (700 euro)! On both directions when there is an obstacle the system works correctly, it detects it and mute/reduce the audio. Everything with the audio (CD, AUX, Radio, buttons, USB) works perfect except the low level of beeping on revers? I am thinking to try to use a small amplifier just to increase the volume. I will appreciate if anyone can provide some solution to fix this issue?

Thanks!

It is a fully digital signal transmitted via CAN bus and MOST bus

It only turns to analog audio inside the digital audio amplifier

So you have no means to intercept an analog rear parking sensor audio signal anywhere.

Is there no adjustment for this in audio settings.

No. It is a fixed system.

Mine is quite loud, and it automatically reduces the radio volume.

Does yours shown "Park assist active" on the radio display?
Does it reduce the volume level of the stereo system?
Do the rear sensor beeps sound on the rear passenger-side loud speakers?
Do the front sensor beeps sound on the front passenger-side loud speakers?

Are you sure the speakers are actually all OK?
