Just a thought but have you tried rotating the "magnetic disk" - it might just be a lock cover that pivots around a rear or side pin.

It doesn't cause a problem at the moment as I always unlock using the (one remaining) fob as it was not until I had the car for a couple of years that I realised that there was a key barrel under the flap!
I have the same issue, it seems that the key barrel in the rear hatch doesn't rotate. I've tried freeing it up with penetrating oil, so I assume it is either corroded solid or was never meant to move; any expert advice gladly received.

Thanks

Default V70 Tailgate Key Lock

Recently found a YouTube video where someone found that their tailgate lock barrel would not rotate due to a small internal spring coming out of position and jamming the barrel.

It shows how to take the barrel apart to clean but does not show how to removed the barrel from the cylinder.

There are several other "hits" on Google about removing a circlip from the back of the lock but no pictures / diagrams.

Does anyone know if there is a clip or a circlip and what direction it needs to be pressed / pulled to remove?

TIA
