Bob

I went to a wedding in Standish many moons ago and vowed never to return - only being honest

I am 99% certain I shall be going to look at a V70R on Monday in Liverpool, if I buy can meet you somewhere on my journey to Stanstead but cannot deviate far off route as picking up my son on his return from Majorca

Will have VOL FCR on board - will take longer to achieve comms with your mota than time taken to clear service light

If I do not buy will be returning by train as per journey up there

Tel 07711 669 355

Bigfella666 (just seen your post etc)

Thank you for a very generous offer- my son is going to have another go later today with a new app, so fingers crossed! If this fails to work then I will let you know later today/evening and hopefully arrange to meet you Monday if you make the purchase.
At this stage I could come over to Burtonwood service on the M62 Nr.Warrington & close to Liverpool (that way your journey isn’t interrupted) but at your convenience etc.
Will contact you later eith way.
Thanks again & regards Bob.

A good result thanks to a forum member: ~ many thanks to Bigfella for the service light reset -hope your new purchase gave a trouble free journey home & good luck with the same.
Regards Bob.

(As an aside I couldn’t get the ELM327 Interface to work on my car after trying two apps)

Default Re-set service light.

Try this Bob,

Switch ignition OFF.

Press and hold reset button for trip meter.

Switch ignition on.

Keep trip meter button depressed until service indicator flashes (approximately 10 seconds)

Release reset button within 4 seconds.

Romulous306 :~
Thanks for the information- I did note this one prior to trying a few other things but it doesn’t work for this V70 year 1997.
(Done now as above mail details)

He sure does - in gay gold as you call it !

You must know the saying " lose a wife gain a new car "

Some initial running problems - will put up a separate post when have time in next few days, including likely knackered alternator . Symptoms are new to me - rough running above idle, no Miss fire, no DTC, runs slightly better with MAF disconnected, so I am a little lost. Did and rotor needs replacing anyway so gonna start there and new HT leads
