On the left is what we get in the UK.
On the right is what we get in the US. Go figure. P/S - I am still trying to figure out how to link images.

The silver trim is just a piece of aluminum held by double sided tape... I took it off right away after delivery.

I read on a post that the pod at the top of the dash may be discontinued shortly and presumably the information moved to the sat nave screen area.

i heard that as well, but despite how the pod looks - i think it is actually quite useful to always have the map visible on the satnav screen. being able to see the phone/ipod track info and also the maps is great for those times you skip a track just as you come up to a roundabout etc

They are still using the same satnav system and controls on the XC90 and other models that are many years old - despite having 'updated' the models.
I wouldn't personally hold out a lot of hope or or expectation that they will change the XC60 controls or interior, certainly not for many years, if ever |
