Default Firstline/Nordic other 'pattern' parts

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with Nordic or Firstline parts?

I recently had a clutch slave from my motor factors and they said Nordic are the OE manufacturer of them?

I was also wondering if anyone has any experience the Firstline parts as I'm after some new wishbones for my S60 and have been offered these from the same motor factors. They tell me they are good quality but I suppose they would say that!

I've used Firstline bits on a variety of cars, and haven't had any problems at all.

The quality looks good, too.

Thanks, some good points but I'm still not convinced by the extra premium placed on OE parts, I mean someone has to make them and sticks them in a Volvo bag, anyone know who manufactures the OE equipment for the suspension bits?

I bought a Nordic lower suspension ball joint for my 940 for the MOT. I was somewhat slagged off for doing so on here, but my point remains the same. It was about 5 times cheaper than from the dealer, so is the OE part really, I mean really going to last 5 times longer?

Of course, in an ideal world we would all have our 15 - 20 year old cars main dealer serviced and use only OE parts, but who actually can afford that now? I know people will say "oh it makes sense in the long run" to buy OE parts, but if you have to get the car through an MOT and funds are limited, what are you going to do?

I have to say, the Nordic part did have a decent enough quality "feel" and weight about it, certainly good enough for me. I'll guess we'll see if it gets through next year's MOT eh?!
