I wonder if the picture quality would be good enough to clearly see a reg plate, thats providing you manage to capture it at all.

Andy, go to Martin Browns on Dixon road with the colour code for the car and they will mix up a rattle can to match the car along with a top coat can be had for around £25 - Still annoying you have to deal with this but this is the cheapest way to get a decent paint can locally to match the car - Mike

Well, we all know most people can't reverse coherently to save their lives!

I wonder how I would behave, if I scraped someone in a car park? Would I take my medicine, or just nip away quick and hope no-one's noticed?

Oh and here's a funny story... I was sitting in a friend's 440, in a supermarket carpark while he did his shopping... and a Merc clonked heavily into the back of me while I was reading a newspaper.

I lowered the paper, and scowled at him in the rear-view mirror - and then returned to reading the paper. When he exited the car, and approached me and apologised, I just gave him a cold stare, and said:

"This is a ----ing Volvo, mate. You'll have to hit me a lot harder than that, to do any damage!"

And, with that, I went back to looking at my newspaper... but it amused me, scoring a Volvo vs Merc point!

Bad luck Thanatos, it would drive me nuts.

I hope you don't mind if I recite a tale....

Many years ago, as I drove into a pub car park in Hertfordshire, I witnessed a Mini reversing hard into the door of a Cavalier. Quick as a flash, I wrote down the number, then went into the pub...

...I wasn't able to find the Cavalier owner, but I explained to everybody in the pub what I'd seen, and was instantly promoted to heroic status by all involved, a few of whom had suffered similar misfortunes in years gone by. Then somebody asked "what did I say was the other car?", I answered a "red Mini, reg ***whatever***".

A stunned silence descended, before somebody spoke out... "That's Mandy, the barmaid". Clearly Mandy was a very popular barmaid because suddenly I was demoted from 'Hero of the Revolution', to 'Enemy of Society'. After a phone call from the manager she did return and admit to the crime (the Cavalier owner having been identified by then). But I got a spine chillingly evil stare from the entire population of the pub, and had to find somewhere far away for a beer in future.
