'Accidents/incidents' are normally between three and five years depending on the insurance broker/company. Penalty points are normally five years.

Your SP30 is still declarable. Your 2010 incident is still declarable. Your 2008 incident is still declarable. There is no escape this year.

I have always been asked "any claims or convictions in the last 5 years". Sorry.

Yep, it's 5 years for insurance. Some serious ones, like my "DR10" stay on your licence for 10 years. (It was 7 years ago - I was an idiot then, drove a Merc, what do you expect?).

You also have to beware of car hire firms if you have really naughty points on your licence. Many will not hire to you if within the last 5 years, and I recently discovered that one major car hire company will not employ me for 10 years!

Do the crime, do the time eh?
