Default Newbe - Sensus Connect Apps update

Good evening, I am new to the forum and to the XC60 D5 (previously had a XC90) and have a plea for help;

I have read a thread on this site http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=209328 which mentions a sensus connect app update (June 2014) that updates XC60 Sensus connect apps from just 'send to car', 'TuneIn' and 'local search', to a host of additional new apps.

I've been into my local dealer to ask for this update but they have know knowledge of it and are struggling to find the solution. Is anybody here able to shed any light on the software part number or even a dealer that has done the update?

Fingers crossed....

It'll be either a MY14.5 or MY15. MY15 i'd say as mine was one of the first built May2014, unless yours was hanging around somewhere.

My car came with full list of apps the others updated from MY14.5 with this update.

If your car is brand new then may just take a few days to appear...have you connected to the internet and have you registered on MyVolvo

Your dealer needs to check up with Volvo technical, or even just connect your car up to Vida as it will then show that the update is available.

Be warned though that it is technically not a free fix as it is for the infotainment system and is excluded from the free updates, though most dealers have been applying it without any charge.

I don't have any part number or bulletin number but can assure you, as can many people here that it is available

As an afterthought, you have registered a Volvo ID and are able to use it? The system will not make these additional apps available without the Volvo ID. The easy way to check it is to go to Here.com and try to send a location to your car, if your car recieves the location through Send to Car then it is linked, if not you need to create the VolvoID - get your dealer to show you how

Tell them to have a look at TJ-29115,

Should tell them all they need to know and if your car is in chassis range for it

Hi, thanks for all your replies and the reassurance it does exist! I have had the Volvo about 3 months or so (it was 3months old when I got it) and has been registered with a Volvo ID since I purchased. I have been using the send to car feature (which is great) and tuneIn.

It went into the dealers for a rattle - now sorted (it was driving me mad) and I asked for the update, unfortunately they have not been able to source it. Thanks Rooster for the number reference, I will drop the dealer an email and see if it helps them.
