Default Xc90 limping and struggling to change up gear

Hi, just having a problem today where my car is struggling to get the revs up and to change up a gear. It has happened once before about 6 months ago and then went. Concerned that it might be something to do with the gearbox. It has covered 120k miles but other that this is perfect in every way. Any ideas welcome please?
There are no dash lights or anything to explain that there is an issue.

Mine did that a few months ago.
A temp sensor on the DPF was at fault.

On the 185 BHP D5 engines there is a temperature sensor on the catalyst and DPF. They are the same part with the exception that the one in the DPF is angled - I think. If this temp sensor fails then the engine will fall into a restricted performance mode which is not the same as limp home - there is no error message, no EML light but it won't rev beyond about 3,200 rpm - but it will boost below that. Below that you seemingly have good power. With manual cars you can still make reasonable progress but with autos sometimes you struggle to get to the change up points.

This also affects V70/S60/S40/V50/C30/C70 platforms with this engine.

VIDA will tell you what it wrong - generic OBD readers will say Temp sensor Bank A or something vague. It can also be very intermittent as it starts to fail. When fixed - no reset is required it just goes back to as it was.

Getting it plugged into VIDA is your next step I would suggest....
