Default 3 wires lose in driver footwell

Hello forum,

I recently managed to dislodge 3 wires in the driver footwell.

There were sparks and I lost instrument panel, climate control, power drivers seat, folding mirrors.

I taped the wires and luckily located fuse 10 which was broken.

Replaced the fuse and I have most things back but no phone, CD, md, and parking assist.

I'm hoping the 3 lose wires are root problem but not sure where to reconnect them.

Please see photo.

To help us help you, please advise what model Volvo and what model year the vehicle is.

This will allow guys like me to refer to the correct wiring diagram for your car.

On a MY2005 XC90 there are a few F10s:

F10 (10A) on the CEM supplies:

3/112 Climate Control Module (CCM)
4/7 Combustion Preheater Module (CPM)
4/52 Power Seat Module (PSM)
5/1 Driver Information Module (DIM)
7/93 Occupant Weight Sensor (OWS)
7/192 Temperature sensor, evaporator

F10 (5A) on the passenger compartment fuse block supplies:
3/111 Light Switch Module (LSM), XC90
3/254 Steering Wheel Module (SWM), XC90
4/68 Steering Angle Sensor module (SAS), XC90
17/13 Data link connector, XC90

I am guessing the F10 in the passenger compartment

But I need more info:
When functions of the car are NOT working? Focus on what is fed from F10 (see list above)
Are all 3 wires bundled in a loom?
Are they the only wires in the loom?
Do any of the wires have stripes? What colour? This is the easiest identifier.
Where does the loom head to?
What does the loom reach?
Did they potentially rip out of a connector?
Are the pins still on the wires?

A blue, yellow and red wire do feed device 4/31 (Fan control module) for the climate system, but that is located int he passenger side, not drivers side.
Check if your climate blower fan is running

Found a candidate:

Red, Yellow and Blue wires feed to one of the Damper (flap positioning) control motors for the climate control

Pin 1 = Red
Pin 2 = Yellow
Pin 3 = Blue

Check all the climate control vent outputs work correctly.
If one doesn't work, then it is likely the damper control wires for that damper.

Nice find! I will check the outlets one by one.

I'm just gutted because all of phone, CD, MD, sat nav screen and parking assist (possibly just the speakers) stopped working but it may have been before the wires got lose.

I think I was checking the fuses for the above errors when I disconnected the wires.

What a mess 😀😁

Thanks

It's times like this that VIDA becomes invaluable.
Try asking if a forum member with VIDA is in your neighbourhood.
