Hi,

Might help if you post in the correct section. Or are you looking to buy a soot filter warning light?

It will likely be a warning message on the screen with the other warning messages?

I think this is the correct section for a 64 plate (phase 3 I assume). There would be no warning light as such, just a message displayed if your DPF is clogged ('Soot Filter Full')

My guess is that it would be displayed as an 'Information symbol', which would appeared in the dot-matrix LED display. However, I don't see a reference to soot filter in the user's manual:

Check the owners manual for your particular vehicle, they are available on line. Sectio 3 Driving Environment. In the owners manual for my XC70 P3 185 D5 engine on page 86 it informs me that every 6-800km the particulate filter self cleans once engine is up to running temp, the process taking 10-20mins. It goes on to say that this may not occur if only short journeys are undertake. If the self clean cannot take place because of short journeys when the filter is approx 80% full a message "soot filter full see manual" will appear. It would suggest at that point a longer journey should be undertaken to burn off the soot, if left there is a possibility of the filter needing replacement. Hope this is of some help.
