Switches was going to be my suggestion as well.
If you have access to Vida, it can be used to check if the switches are operating correctly. |

Hi. Vida check last week no codes at all. The specialist offered to have a look but had already charged me too much. At a bit of a loss

VIDA should be able to detect all the button presses, you just search for the current status and then press and hold buttons. Ditto the clutch / brake pedal position....

Just another thought. Is the brake sensor the one at the pedal or the master cylinder?

It is in the back of the brake servo, inside the engine bay.
