Question S60r headlights on D5?

Hi guys,

I have a 2004 P1 s60 D5, does anyone know if the S60R Xenon headlights such as the ones linked below are a straight plug and play to my car? I’ve done it before on other cars where the headlight and ballast is bundled together and the OEM loom just plugs into it. IMO an OEM xenon unit is far superior to HID’s or LED kit (was using one but starting to fail after 3 months).

I'm also not too familiar with the R's, if the headlights were to be plug and play or require only minimal work to fit, are there are years that wouldn't fit? Unsure if there is a facelift on the R's that change the headlight design substantially?

Thanks in advance guys

I *think* they will fit straight in, but someone should be able to confirm.
On my R the ballast is under the headlight and the mounting looks the same as my old D5. I assume the wiring is the same.

I am sure the r headlights are syncned to the suspension for them to level.
That's my take on it

Hi the R Xenons' height are controlled by two sensors and two arms at the back of the car, this is all linked to an ECU. It would not be a simple plug and play! There is a servo in each headlight that changes from dip to full-beam (bi-xenon).
