C30 Automatic Transmission i.d.
Hello, I'm new here and looking for advice to help me find the C30 I am looking to buy?
I am trying to find a C30 D5 with powershift transmission, however, every used car salesmen so far has proven too dim to know the difference between "Geartronic" and "Powershift" and simply advertise them both as "Auto". To save me having to press many buttons to ask numerous silly persons what should be a sensible question. Is their any visible difference between the cars that have these 2 different transmissions? I can then answer my own question from looking at the pics in the "Auto" adverts. Thank you Last edited by David Pa; Jan 26th, 2019 at 17:51. |

To the best of my knowledge you will not find what you are looking for.
Powershift is a ford transmission that was offered with the ford engines - 1.6d, 2.0d and the ecoboost petrols (eg V70 T4, V70 T5 (P3), etc). The D5 is a volvo engine and as such was never mated with the powershift transmission, but only with the AW torque-converter autos (and manuals). |

That would explain why I'm not finding any.
Thank you. |
