Thanks
Had this happen to me again today - did the bonnet drop trick...unfortunately the alarm still didn't flash the indicator on arming but did on disarming.
Checked the bonnet catches -near side not full engaged -ie could lift n/s of bonnet slightly. So triggered the catch fully using a thin bladed screwdriver, rotating the "wheel" several turns. Did bonnet drop, catch engaged and the alarm flash is now functioning perfectly. SO many many thanks to all of the above contributors.

Another small trick I learnt - look at the front "corners" of the bonnet. There should (could?) be two rubber bump stops. Screw them all the way in then back out 1/2 turn. Mine had unscrewed enough to stop the bonnet moving down to engage the switch properly so no lights flashing to show locks all engaged. Never had the issue since and only need to drop the bonnet from about 6".

I have had same problem of indicators not flashing when I lock the car and set alarm, checked the bonnet as Glider suggested and nearside of bonnet not latched. Opened and reclosed bonnet and Hey Presto problem solved! Cheers Glider
