Hi,
Yes, D5 on the engine cover of my 2.4D FWD Geartronic also. The 188 CO2 figure is printed on an addendum piece of paper slipped into the user guide, I feel this is shoddy and should have been flagged up. If I'd know it was going to push up into the same VED band as the D5 I would have opted for the more powerful engine. My 535d with 272BHP is cleaner than the XC60 even though it weighs the same at an extra 100BHP. :-( |

The relationship just keeps getting better and better. FYI - both UK and Intl. websites show the MY10 engine at 183g/km.

Night Drive
Maybe this should be in the blog area of this forum.
Anyway, I was a little apprehensive about what the car would be like at night. So I gathered the kids up in the PJs and said we're off for a night drive. I was pleasantly surprised. The passenger compartment illuminates beautifully. Nothing to be apprehensive about. Some of you may be aware that with the Q5 you need to spec interior lighting. No such need with the XC60. Started the engine and the dash lights up in a blue green tint. The mannequin looks cool. I wish I had my camera to take some pics. I'll post some later. I love the way the ABL dip before they self-level. Note to self: Remember to apply parking brake.

i could never believe that Audi want charge you money for interior lights on a car that costs £30,000. Have they really lost their head that far up their arse that they can't see how offensive that is?!

I specified interior light package for my B8 A4 as even the glovebox isn’t illuminated as standard! Although I also specified leather seats, there was very limited (manual) adjustment and no lumber adjustment provision...all extra if you wanted it. Leather wasn't a patch on quality of Volvo...although you could upgrade to a better quality which with other options would have started to have made the car a ridiculous price…and would not have made much difference to its resale value. That’s one of the reasons I chose the XC60 over the Q5 it was just better value (and more comfortable).

Maybe it is a D5 FWD! After all, it's registered emitting 188g/km. But who knows what Volvo are doing?

One sure fire way to find out is to get it on a dyno machine? If you're really bothered.
