the fitting isnt a issu ive fitted many towbars my self in the past all been fixed. i am more worried about the salt and grit and water geting to the locking mech. they are 2 dechable towbars im looking at one it vertical ond one horazontal. im more wondering if the cover would cover both the vertical and horizontal. as for it sticking out thats not compared to having to fre it up after a winter of not using it .

I had the Brink detachable fitted to my XC60 SE Lux 2015 a few years ago. it cost me £400 from my local towbar specialist. I got the silver cover from the local Volvo dealer for around £15. I see they are on e-bay for a similar price, today.
