I like the rarity of the S90 as well. Rear takes a bit getting used to but overall I think it's a handsome car with sleek lines. For the size I think the S90 pulled it off pretty well.

Not so rare in France.. I’d say XC90 is No 1 in terms of sales here, followed by S90.. There used to be lots of S80 taxis in Paris but they seem to be replacing them with S90s lately..

Rare v90's
Got my V90 April 2017 and saw my first other V90 a few weeks ago (a V90 R-Design).. So, just one in a year. As Paul Simon said: "Only Living Boy in New York". Mind you, I do live in Dorset!

For what its worth there seem to be more S90 than V90 models around this way and, surprisingly, I've yet to knowingly see a V90CC on the road. I had thought that even though it didn't suit me, that the Cross Country would be one of the most popular variants. As yet, and around here, it seems not. Even though introduced much much later, there are lots of new XC60 models running around. XC40 selling as fast as they can get them too by the looks of it.

I travel a lot of miles on the motorway every week and rarely do I see a S90 and I've never seen another T8
I do like the exclusivity angle

I’ve had my S90 for a couple of months and only seen two on the road since then.
They are a smart car and I’m surprised that more are not sold as they are better value than BM’s and Audi’s and better specified.

Time will tell on the latter but I thought the former would do a lot better than it currently is - I've seen zero in London.

So I went along time before seeing a S90 or other V90 but since January, on my commute along the a38/a516 there is one silver S90 RDesign and one grey V90CC that I see almost everyday.
The observation I’ve made because of this is that with the lights on - when looking in the rear view mirror I cannot tell the Thor hammer headlights are approaching and both look identical to the Audi A4/5/6 or a Vauxhall insignia’s lights. I guess that because I only look at the cars lights when I unlock the car I’d been under the impression these headlights would be very distinctive while on the move but alas not! It’s easier to spot a BMW or a Merc than the new Volvo.
