Unhappy XC60 Running Board fair price?

Hi I'm a brand new member so please excuse the waffle. I've damaged one of my XC60 running boards and my Volvo dealer told me it was cheaper to buy a pair than just one and quoted £687 (includes fitting)! Couldn't understand this so asked them to contact Volvo for the price of a single running board and they've come back with a fitted price of £528 (inc £100 fitting). Do you think this is a fair price or should I take it further?

I would give Lee Darcy at Stratstone Volvo Nottingham a call, they do very good prices on running boards, and a few people on here, me included, have used them to supply or supply and fit.

I suggest you search ebay for "XC90 running boards". You should be able to get a full set for about £300.

I understand that are quite easy to fit yourself, especially if you are taking one off and replaceing with a new one.

contact the sellers; you may find someone willing to sell just one.

Good luck.
