Isn't the Spotify update the same if I do it myself? I mean I've updated the Spotify, but I cannot see the option to remove tracks from favourites playlists. It also feels a bit clunky.

I'm sure it is but it seems that the Nov update introduced improvements in other areas so the whole Spotify experience feels smoother.

Mine is at the garage today. Just wondering how you can tell if the update has been applied (bar the hopeful increase in intelligence of the gearbox) Will a change in sensus screen mean the gearbox flash has definitely been applied?
I couldn't see where to check the OS/sw versions through sensus.

Did you already have may18 applied? If not, then may18 update change PA2 warning graphic to apply steering from yellow to red. They would always update you to latest, so if you haven’t been updated since June and have red PA2 warnings now then you are on latest. There are other tell signs you can look up on volvo list of updates. This is how I could mine was not updated during my service in September. My dealer wanted 129 to update me during safety recall last week saying it’s only free at service or when needed to warranty work. I proved to them they didn’t update me in service even though it was on marked as complete on the job sheet. So had it for free. Made it sound like they were doing me a favour. Left bad taste.

Well I was trying very hard not to have the placebo effect after I picked up the car today but.... it does seem better! It hangs on to a gear longer when pulling away from a round about using the engines torque more and generally seems happier.
I want to drive it more before really being happy but signs are good. I checked and I have the save icon in the driver profiles area which was part of the November update so should have it!

They could have cleaned the car or hovered it but hey minor point if the gearbox now works better!

That was my experience. It’s more likely to be in the right gear and just driving instead of hesitating and changing gear.

It’s not bad. I am generally happy. They treat me well and fixed a lot of early gremlins in the first 18 months. I was just taken back by the price - o guess it’s to put people off pestering them for software updates but I went digging and turns out this was not done during service - makes me wonder what other parts of service are not done.
