Smile Trim and Cleaning Question

Hi Guys,

Two questions;

1) Is this little holder area in the centre console loose in your cars? Is there something below there or something?

First Attachment

2) How do you clean the white stitching on the leather trim when it gets dirty?

Second Attachment

Thanks :-)

Under the front holder liner there is a hole to access the gear selector lock in case you need to release it, in the case of power loss etc and it is stuck in park, the liner lifts out, the liner may need pushing down to stop it rattling.

Thanks for the reply - the whole panel from the left side wobbles a bit in its place, not just the liner - does the whole panel come out as well ?

Its solid from the right side but jiggles from the left. Would it be any different on a T8 ?

Which bit wobbles? The cup holders or - for want of a better description - the ash tray?

Dont think any of mine wobbles.

By the way, the key in the photo looks very different to mine....

There is a carpeted side panel on the centre tunnel column between front seat and tunnel that just clips on, I have found mine needed pushing on properly but it never rattled on mine, the centre column can be removed but it is a bit of a complex job.

One owner put his bank card on the sliding cover at the front of the column and it disappeared into the gap under the front and he reported it took a visit to dealer and an extensive strip down to recover it.

There are card holding clips behind both front sun visors. Many people may not have noticed or it may not have occurred to them to use them. I keep one credit card behind the driver's sun visor for convenience, and 10 or so of my business cards behind the other. Don't use the credit card in the visor so much since I got ApplePay on my phone. I always have my phone with me so the credit card mostly stays in my wallet these days.

That looks a little proud at that side, as though it has not been clipped in properly. Will it push down further and click into place. If not mention it to your dealer for them to sort out. There should be no movement there.
