I got the feeling that they thought we were not serious customers and then yesterday we went in to Sunderland and they said that Volvo had not sent out the leather swatches even though the car was out a year. !! Which clearly is not true. They also said that the brochures were only available online again clearly not true since I got a copy given to me from the dealer I had the best experience with. |

Keep of black cars
Quote:
Yes I learnt the lesson of keeping off black cars back in the 1980s with a ford escort XR 3, lovely car and I had it polished up lovely until it went in for service and as part of the service the ford garage took it through the car wash and it just wrecked the look of the paintwork just as if someone had wire brushed it. Never again a black car for me and I do not let a service garage car wash any car to valet it as part of the service! |

Very nice indeed.
That red really stands out on the R Design model. Certainly alot more than the silver R Design I saw on Friday.

I went for Black Stone, on my R-Design. Well, I say I went for Black, the car was in stock in the dealer showroom, I went in for 2WD 175bhp Drive R-Design with a Manual Box most likely in Red, and walked away with the full option list on a Black D5 AWD, saving 3-4 months of waiting time.
But the day I collected it, I saw a couple of minor marks, and blew my top, they agreed to adding the supaguard hi-gloss finish (FOC) to the bodywork, and so far so good, the car is still gleaming, and not seen anymore marks. Saved me £400 so glad, I have an eye for finding imperfections...
