Wanted: Cheap (£200) Volvo for rally to Europe

Hi folks,

bit cheeky, but some friends and I are entering a rally over the summer to Europe and we're limited to an allowance of £200 for the car. I'm more familiar with 850s I'm afraid but wondered if anyone had a 200 series they were looking to get rid of which might survive one last charge across the continent :-)

Possibly older 700/900 series might fall into the same price bracket so I will also enquire in that section.

Ideally located around East Anglia - got anything for us? Would need to be a runner with MOT but a little past its best cosmetically would be OK.

Agreed - I dithered for some time as to where to post, and in the end plumped for here since prospective sellers would see it, and I wasn't sure sellers would think to look in the wanted section.

Perhaps I will add a post in Wanted pointing to this thread and asking to carry on discussion here. I just didn't want to clog up the 200 section with too many cheeky requests :-)

You could also consider a 400 series, maybe the 1.9TD, if you can find one. I bought a £250 440 1.8 a couple of years ago as a stop gap for a family friend and he's still using and abusing it. Arch rust included in the price
