Default Fuel sender vent

Good morning,

Does the fuel sender vent need to be capped off? It was on my old sender, but the cap doesn't fit the new sender unit.

Only found one Internet post relating to this, which said cap it, but... If it just needs capping, why's it there?!

Thanks
Henrik

The earlier ones were vented there, the later ones had a cap. The part itself (including pattern replacements) will go with the same design throughout the model run.

I'd cap it with something, even just a bit of sealant.
