Default Headlights stopped working

Hi all,

1998 Volvo V70 T5.

All working fine then this evening I noticed that both dipped headlamps had stopped working.
If I pull the left hand column stalk I can make the headlights flash, but they don't stay on and I cannot switch to main beams.

I'll dig for a spare green 104 108 relay (under fuses on right hand side of engine compartment).
Volvo part number 3523200

Does that seem like a likely culprit?

Thanks
Steve

Nope, that didn't do it.

I have checked some fuses but not every single one.
Are any other relays involved?

I would guess it is something else.
Would a faulty headlight switch do that? It feels fine.

Yes, lighting switch going faulty is fairly common on these - glad you got it sorted.
