Default D5 fuel filter seal failure

On inspection of my 2011 V70 I noticed the fuel filter was leaking slightly. As it was going in the garage I got them to look at it while in, diagnosis filter housing seal had perished. New seal ordered. After pick up I noticed it kept dripping so it went back in today.

Garage told me they originally put an after market seal on which was thinner but appeared to be sealed well when first put on. Anyway picked up tonight, they have put a OEM seal on at no extra charge and said it was much thicker.

The leak has stopped but thought I would share this experience so no one else has this problem. Glad the fuel filter housing itself wasn't broken. People who previously serviced it must have changed the seal to save time.
