Angry Sensus navigation can't find the location

Hi,

Just coming back from France with the shuttle to London and my sensus navigation has not been able to locate I am in the UK.
I turned the engine off, waited 5 mn several times and the Sat nav thinks we are still in Calais or in the Channel. Time is also still 1 hour more.
1h30 later arrived in London and still the same issue.
My car is a new XC60 from December 2017.
Any idea?

Best

I am not sure but I think you have to manually select the country you are in. An idea though would be to ask the system to navigate you to an address in London and see how it will behave.

I once had the sat nav in my S90 lose where we where. Disconnected the battery for 10 minutes, fixed. Been carrying a 10mm spanner ever since, but hasn't recurred.

Press voice and say “Cancel Itinery. It may think it has not finished your last journey in France.

Hi,

I have had the service this morning and they told me that it was a known software issue. It has been fixed with the software update.
I read somewhere else that disconecting the battery works as well.
Setup a new itinery or cancel one doesn't do anything.
Thanks all for your suggestions.

I came back from France the week before Easter via Eurotunnel and did not have this problem.

Hi,

I drove twice with the new XC60 in France mid-february and last week-end.
I didn't have any issue mid-February so I was maybe unlucky last week-end.
In case maybe worth it to have a spanner to disconnect the battery during 10 mn.

Just buy a tomtom and have done with it once and for all. Sensus nav is just plain poor in my opinion. I drove from the Dales to the Cotswolds today, the journey A1, M1 M42 M5 was puctuated by many slow sections , down to 20mph , upt 40 etc etc , only the smart M42 flowed reasonably.
I had the destination in my sensus , and tom tom running on my phone. the later picked up every slow section .accurately determined the length of delay ,adjusted eta etc. The sensus did not!! not even once, during a 258 mile journey. Appalling.
