Question ROPS light on a V70??

So today I took my dials out whilst doing other bits, i seem to have a ROPS light in place of the cruise control light?
Has anyone else discovered this, I'm confused as I thought the ROPS was only for the C70. Then I thought maybe dials have been changed but mines diesel so only has 5000rpm rev counter...

They were probably standardised at some point so they were all the same.

Do you have cruise control? In the C70 there is no light for the cruise control since it was replaced by the ROPS light that was deemed more important. But if your V70 does not have CC then for practical purposes that particular warning light position is blank. So then, I guess, they just thought that it doesn't matter if surplus C70 warning light units (albeit with a different rev counter for your diesel) were used in your car...

That's my best guess, anyway!

That would seem to make sense to me, only fitting the cruise compatible dials where needed. I just didn't realise the dials could be separated. Slowly working my way to a tdR 😀
