Air con not working

I have a 2019 V60 and the air con is not working . Sometimes it will come on for a few seconds then nothing. I have noticed the head up display also comes and goes with the air con problem.

Do you have more attributes?

is this just the flow not being cold or is it a lack of fan?

It would be useful to know what the central display is showing when this happens and whether the outside temperature is showing the same as the set A/C temperature.

It just seems like the fan is not working but why the head up display is not working as well beats me. I have checked the fuses but there is not one that covers both. Trouble is its intermittent.

There are 2 simple checks you can do, with the engine off reach down to the pump and try to spin the inside part of the pulley, it should spin freely, if it doesn't the clutch on it or the pump itself has broken, the other is visually look at the cooler radiator behind the grille, is it covered in bugs or blocked in any way with muck, if it is you can clean it but watch a you tube on how to as you must be gentle with it, no blasting it with the 200 bar Mr Squirty.

All good, the car has only done 13,000 so it's like new with regards to mechanical failure, it is something on the electrical side like a dicky relay os something loose but for the life of me I can't figure out why the head up display goes off when the air con fails.

Have a look in the manual at the fuses section, see if the air and heads up are on the same circuit.

If still in warranty book it in to Volvo dealership.
