Potential new purchase

Hi all,

After a 4 year break I'm back to hopefully being a volvo owner again :-)
I'm looking at a 2010 XC70 D5, I just have a question before I commit to parting with my pennies.
The car won't lock/unlock with the key fob, it locks/unlocks fine with the manual key and the button on the drivers door so I know the locks work.
Also the key doesn't eject from the dash, you just pull it out.
Other than that the car seems OK.

Any thoughts on what could be wrong ?

A 2010 model will be a P3 , and this is the P2 forum , so I would advise posting there to get a quicker response.

However just as a quick piece of advice the batteries in the key fobs do need replacement on a regular basis (my indie does it each annual service) This might be a cheap solution to try, if the seller is serious about doing a deal he/she should be prepared to change the battery.
