Replaced a cracked reluctor ring. The cracked ring came off very quickly. Cleaned up the drive shaft and the new ring went on nicely with some gentle tapping with a small hammer.

Was there a warning message or light?
I ask because recently my V70's window says, "TCS system service (or maintenance) required". The message goes out within 5 minutes.
This has happened 3 times with a week or more between occurrences.
I'm thinking I might have a cracked ring too.

With today's diminished use I was wondering if cobwebs or light rust has time to accumulate and trigger some code, thus creating the message.

The ABS and Traction Control lights came on after driving a couple of miles and later followed by brake failure stop safely.
Icarsoft pointed to the right front wheel . I could not see a crack at first so replaced the sensor itself. When that didn't cure it I cleaned the relucter ring an noticed the crack

Removed some bushing and installed some in the xc70 control arms. And took a abl-xenon headlight apart.

Today I entered the home stretch on my wheel tidying mission. Flatted with 600 then 1200 over the last few days. Today was primer filler then flat again with 1200 and three coats of basecoat.

If the lights are yellowed you can sand them down with some grit paper and then clear coat them, hth.

By doing that you make the plastic lens thinner.
I prefer to put a new lens on, witch has 5 years warranty….
And a new rechromed reflector gives a lake new light output….

Onewheel's pretty much the resident headlight pro

but if it's a case of 'MOT tomorrow and he's gonna fail it' I would just use some compound on a drill buffer pad, that's got me out of the sh/t a number of times

not a long term solution though

I like your thinking but not many people do actually put new ones in so I just thought I'd give you an idea if you hadn't heard of doing it that way, much better than the tooth paste trick and once lacquered they come up like new.
