Default V70 2.5 tdi 1998 electric backrest not working

My electric seat backrest is not working. I can gear the relay click when the button is pressed, but no movement. I assume it is a bad motor but ecu tells me "pot signal too low". Can the motor be fixed or do I need a new used one?

Assuming the seat backrest activator motor is the same across the V70 range (diesel/petrol) if you are getting a click noise when the seat switch is operated I would start by suspecting the drive cable at the underseat/back motor connection which is a known problem. There are fixes shown on YouTube (Robert, etc).

Yes, but if it was the cable wouldn't the motor still make noise?

Agreed. Reading at spped I missed the word relay!! Guess it's down to having a physical look at the motor/drive when you operate the switch.
