Default Help stuck in the Alps

https://youtu.be/Nwi_Yp2lwxM

I need help desperately. I'm in the Alps and was booting it up a mountain.
Then engine stop light came on and it cut out.
Managed to get it towed to safety.
Checked timing belt.
Seems ok. Really bad knocking and lots of white smoke I guess it's unburned diesel.
Any ideas?

A couple of things to try in the meantime, check ALL fuses, disconnect battery and leave for few minutes and then reconnect etc.

Have you tried unplugging injectors one at a time, sounds awfully like an injectors gone bad.

Just saw the video, sounds like a rod or a follower is on it's last legs, don't run it any further.

Get proper eyes on it asap.

thank you for the replies.
Its at a friends the other side of the valley.
No chance of getting it in anywhere around here before 4th.
Just wondering if there was anything i can check myself.
I will try and get it in with a mechanic ASAP

Just wondered why it is knocking if I had a faulty injector?
Those codes all came up together.

I think it's cam related, the knock isn't heavy enough for a rod.

But again it could be something that runs off of them like a brake pump etc that the actual breakage resides.

Get a longish bar or screwdriver and place it at various intervals on the cam cover and get an ear on the other end and see if you can detect where the sound is coming from area wise. mind yer hair or chains.

Do the same thing on what I think is the steering pump (front pulley wheel in the vid) again mind you don't get caught up on moving parts.

If you could shoot the white smoke it would help as well. Plus check the oil level to see how much isn't there anymore.

Try unplugging the fuel pressure regulator on the high pressure pump to see if it runs without knocking.

This could be a possibility. I guess it's ok to unplug one at a time, could it still leak? i know there is a tool to block it off.
