Default D4204t5 v60 2014 d4

Hi, I've got a 2014 v60 d4 that now needs a new engine, it's got a d4204t5 lump in it now but was wondering if another engine would fit in its place with minimal effort, say for instance the d4204t14. Reading about around different place these first gen d4 engines seem a bit of a nightmare so if I'm going to be spending thousands o a new engine I'd prefer a better unit if possible, thanks for your help
