Northern BKV
I was rather pleased to be runner-up in its class with my turquoise 1998 V70 Tdi at the Northern BKV today. I'm sure you'll understand if I gloss over the fact there was only one other car in that class. I only entered to spare anybody else the embarrassment of coming last!
Joking aside, it was a good afternoon out and it was good to put some faces to names. I'm pretty confident I had the car with the highest mileage there today, at 232,700 miles. Unless, of course, you know differently... Martin |

Had my V70 been there I'm confident it could have taken the shed of the show award[if there was such an award]:icon_smile_ lachuh:
Very enjoyable day out with my step daughter in her Saffron C70 though. |

If I'd realised you were there Dippydog, I'd have said hello in person; we've exchanged enough comments via the forum over the years.
I had a very pleasant chat with the owner of the other Ph1 V70 and his partner. It's great to see the affection these cars generate. I feel inspired to tidy mine up a bit more. Martin |

Not a problem. While the idea is nice there isn't enough time in the day [no matter how much we'd like there to be]to stop and talk to everyone. I hope there will be further opportunities for us to have a catch up.
I keep thinking of rattle canning the off side of mine [the front wing has lacquer peel on the top and the two doors look like a previous owner went to the Brillo pad school of car polishing] but then I think the state of it is all part of its story and it'll never be a show car anyway. |
