Default Estate load cover - 900 series?

Hi All,

As per thread in the general section, I have this in my garage going spare, didn't fit the V40, V70 or 850 I had and can't quite remember where or why I got it now. Anyone need one? I believe it's from a 900 series car.

Dimensions of the canvas part are approx. 1465mm wide by 1180mm depth. The metal roller part is approx. 1515mm measured to the plastic end fixings but is spring loaded so would compress a little to fit.

Generally good condition and nice quality but I don't have any other fixings with it. Could potentially be re-purposed to another similar sized vehicle?

£20 ono if you collect it as it's too huge to post, I'm in Cheshire. PM me if interested. Would potentially swap for a decent box of beer

Cheers
Stu

Looks identical to the 240 cover: ~ the rear fittings are quite straight forward to make if you can’t find any.

Cheers, Bob - it may well be a 240 item, I think I got it from a chap who also sold me a 240 owners manual.

Not sure, is it supposed to be spring loaded? The ends don't seem to be sprung that I can see but as above, the fittings are missing I think so it's just what's shown in the photos.

Don't want to tread on your toes Stu B but as it's looking like yours is for a 240 I have a grey one without the fixings for a late 745 or an early 940. I am pretty sure it came from an early 940.

There is a good thread somewhere on here about fitting them and the bits needed. If anyone wants it PM me. It would be for collection only.

I’m pretty sure that’s a load cover for a 240 and an early one at that (doesn’t have a cutout on the rear edge to clear a third brake light). It should retract, but the springs can break- I remember reading a thread about how to fix one but that was years ago.

If I were you I’d repost it in both the 200 for sale section and also the 145 for sale section and someone might be interested.

Cheers
