Do you mean you want to activate the 360° camera while already descending?

Yep, that's the idea.
My example is that you are exiting a multi-story carpark descending down a circular ramp when the front sensors start beeping ........ and you want to then activate the 360° camera.......but you cannot exit the SENUS parking sensor warning screen without engaging REVERSE gear.......

Absolute madness that this is the case. The camera should just engage as the parking sensors do!

Knowing what's coming, why not activate the camera before the sensors go off?
If the camera engages when the sensors do, is is then still possible to see which sensor is close to an obstacle?

You can just press the home button below the screen then you can access the 360 camera, there is no need to stop and select reverse.

I close the parking sensors screen by tapping on X symbol and then quickly swipe and then I turn the 360 camera on; this works on the first attempt 90% of the time. Occasionally, the sensors bleep so frequently that as I close the sensors screen it reverts back to the same screen; in such case it takes another attempt or two but still, I believe, far less frustrating than stopping and putting the gear in reverse.

The problem is that before completing this procedure, i.e. home, swipe, camera button, the sensors often 'go off' again and immediately switch back to the parking sensor screen.

I know icons can be re-arranged to make them more accessible, and I do have the camera button at the top left of the functions panel, but still it is difficult.

It annoys me, as it could so simply be solved with a camera button on the parking sensor screen, and an option to default to the camera in this situation.

This has surely been picked up by focus groups the world over for several years as it singularly the most annoying feature of these cars...but they do nothing about it!

The battle with Sensus to beat it to the camera screen before the sensor screen returns. The whole camera sensor thing is so resolved on other marques, including our VW Tiguan

Well, that's what I was thinking, but then, I've never reported it officially!

Only a week in to my first ever Volvo.
I’ve used the 360 camera a few times to aid parking bay alignment and I’ve found it really easy to engage and the quality is superb.
Only bug bear for me is the drive modes which default to comfort setting, so each time I get in the car I have to remember to reselect Eco mode which annoys me slightly. In all other ways I’ve been really impressed with the drive and quality and tech that comes with my car
