Pressure regulator and lambda sensor on order from Volvo. I'll get these fitted sometime soon and we'll see where we get.

Fingers crossed.

Have you managed to get any further with your 2.0T? I haven't seen pressure regulators for the V/S40 available elsewhere, but there's lots of places that do lambda sensors.

Hi, not gotten any further to be honest. Cannot seem to find any parts available from any autofactors. I have brought a fault code reader and it came up no faults. Spoke to my dad about it and i think he is going to get it into a garage, he reckons its getting worse. Will keep you updated.

Thanks for the interest

I've got the new pressure regulator on my car and my starting problems have been solved!

Car has started 10 times from hot or cold with no throttle. It's worth noting that the T4 fuel system seems to be quite different from the 2.0T. There's no fuel return line for starters... so I'm not sure if this fix would apply to your car as well.

Hi Jim boy, congrates glad to here your car is sorted
Did you replace the lambda senser too? If i might ask, how much was the regulator? Might be worth a go before going to the garage.
Was it easy to fit?

Nope. I haven't done the lambda sensor yet, and I'm still getting a code from it.

The pressure regulator was £79.90 from a Volvo dealer. It wasn't exactly easy to fit, but doable if you're used to getting your hands dirty with cars. The fuel rail has to come off, but it's on top of the engine at the front. The Haynes description didn't match my engine, so I had to improvise a bit. I'm planning to do a guide if I get around to it.
