2005 S40 MK II 1.8 Throttle Body

Hi,

I need some help please.I want to replace the throttle body in my S40 with a used part. Is this just a straight swap or is there software needed.

I'm getting a rev surge. I took off the throttle position sensor and tested it with a multi meter and have a resistance dead spot.
