I want to be able to stop or pause USB media (which I know how to do), but to not automatically start when restarting the car. I.E. stop/pause should "stick" until I manually un-stop/pause
Any ideas please? TIA Glyn |

Mine is always able to keep memory after start/stop activation. It sounds like a memory fault and it keep resetting itself so would be interesting to know if this happens when you play other media options -ipod, cd or dvd? Maybe try various usb sticks just in case?

Thanks youngmun, that is very interested.
I tried with a CD and that seemed to restart after an engine restart. However, i tried a different USB Stick and now, if I hit the power button or pause (mute) on the steering wheel, the music does NOT start after an engine restart. Is there a way to find out the version of software the car is using? Maybe mine is out of date. However, your idea was spot-on and thanks for the info. Cheers Glyn |

Update,
The music starts automatically after the engine starts. If I pause the music, stop the engine, lock the car, unlock the car and press Engine Start button without pressing the brake, the music is still in Pause more. However, if I actually start the engine by pressing the brake and pressing the Engine Start button, the music starts immediately. The thicken gets plotter.... The auto-starting of the music is tied to the engine starting. Any ideas? TIA |
