Recently bought myself a V90,when I sold my 960 I let the manual go with it now I regret losing the book.
Handbrake on the V90 is not good,I thought it was supposed to be self adjusting,if it is,where do I adjust the cables? My rear shockers have seen better days,I expected to see Nivomats but these look to be normal shocks. Car is of 1997 vintage with a mere 180000 miles on the clock.

the handbrake cable adjustment should be behind the rear ashtray, under the armrest... it's a large black plastic threaded collar... with the handbrake off (make sure it's either in P (park) or the wheels are chocked) turn the collar clockwise (as you look at it from the rear seat) and then see how far the hand brake lever comes up... if the handbrake still feels like it's not holding the car as it should then you might be looking at replacing the in-board shoes... the foot brake are the pads on the disk and the handbrake are inside like the old fashioned drum brake, there's no adjustment in there, so the adjustment is on the cable under the armrest which you get at by removing the rear ashtray..
