What is the difference between a V70XC and XC70 when looking for parts in particular the Volvo dog grate (grating) as in describing a guard? My Volvo is plated '04. Would be grateful for any replies and thank you in advance.

The dog guards are the same across the P2 V70’s and XC70’s as far as I know. The original naming convention V70 XC reflected the P80 naming. When the XC90 was launched, it made sense in the marketing world to call the V70 XC the XC70.
